Key Points about Hiring at Whimple Victory Hall

  • Hirers must clear and clean up after their event, if not fully cleaned up an additional charge may be incurred

  • The Hall will be opened up for you and you will be met by the Caretaker on your first booking

  • You may need to lock up when you go (if told to do so) and post the key in our key box by the front door (not the letter box)

  • Tables and Chairs are available for use in the hall at no extra charge but you must state your requirements on the booking 

  • The car park is free but at busy times may be full. Please car share as much as possible or park in the village car park

  • The hall has licences for the playing of recorded music and showing films

  • The hall is not licensed to sell alcohol, if you are going to sell alcohol then you must obtain a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from EDDC

  • You must implement your own safeguarding measures, refer to out Safeguarding policy for guidance

  • The playing of ball games (except if using soft foam balls) is forbidden

  • If you want to use the kitchen just to make teas and coffees, then specify this in the Additional (Line) Items section of the booking

Making a booking

 

To make a booking you need to register as a customer with our Hallmaster system, go to the Booking Schedule (below) and create a customer account, then click on the '+' sign next to the date number. This opens up a booking form, complete it and submit. You will receive an email when the booking has been received and another when it has been confirmed. ​​​​
